 JOHNNY  REECE
Johnny Reece and colleagues formed The Album Zone in January, 1997, following work for various Stations since January 1991. According to which particular source of information you read, Reece was born in either 1966, 1962, or 1958. When very drunk, he has attempted to claim he was born in 1973.

Perhaps he doesn't know. I say this, because I asked him, and he said "I don't know". This is, of course, a lie. What isn't a lie is the fact that he owns his own CD & Record Shop in North London, is current London Pop Quiz Champion, (also having finished 3rd in the UK Pop Quiz Championship in January, 1999) and boasts a personal Record and CD collection of over 12,000 Albums.

"Having a Record Shop helps" says the Scotsman. Basically, a smart-ass.

He has also built his own Radio Studio at home on the Hertfordshire borders, used for pre-recording Album Zone Programmes for both Europe and the USA, and for Production purposes. Reece recently wrote a song to be included on the next Album by his good friend Johnny Zero (in recent times writing with Ray Davies) called 'Why Don't You Telephone'.

Apparently, the Song is about "another relationship which had the usual tragic ending" - and I quote ! Reece planned to retire from Radio in 1998, but one listen to the "ILR crap" along the FM and AM Bands spurred him on to attempt to create his own Station. And the rest, as they say, is hysterical.

His obsessions include Roxy Music, Vanessa Paradis, Hairdressers, Manchester United Football Club, and Tea.

If he ever won the Lottery, (very often in his thoughts), he would "expand the Album Zone to wipe out all those crappy local UK Stations", and "spend the rest on Toys and Sweets".
